Fix player foot preference

Sick of getting 1on1s, usually at crucial times and watching my player spin his body to shoot with the weaker foot.
Can spot a few times in a match where a simple pass is on but the player will use the wrong foot making the pass not possible.|||i would unnderstand if they spun round to use their weaker foot, like if you were using John Arne Riise
i think they should implement something like 'weak foot confidence' or something, to stop players going using the outside of their weaker foot all the time|||A simple change could go a long way here - make the players dribble with their stronger foot, and make them carry the ball ever so slightly more on the side of their stronger foot.
Next time you're in the Arena, just jog forwards with the ball. Look at which foot the player uses for each touch. Left, then right, then left, then right. The ball is always in the exact middle of the player's stance, rather than slightly favouring the strong foot. The result of this is that when you shoot, your player is more likely to have to dig the ball out of his feet with that outside of the foot shot, or indeed use his weaker peg.
The weaker footedness is currently an attribute only, really. Tricks are all performed as if players are right footed; players dribble with whichever foot. Ideally there'd be animations for weaker foot shots in particular, where particularly one legged players swing at the ball like their foot's a golf club, rather than with a controlled, concise swing as currently.|||Look at this vid:

This is Valencia edited to 1 star weak foot. He still touches the ball with alternating feet as he moves.
He should just use his right, and as a result the ball should stay slightly to the right of centre as he moves. That way he is much more likely to use his stronger foot when shooting, crossing, or passing. You will see far less of those passes or shots where the player uses the outside of their foot to hit the ball straight forward.
Out of interest, does anybody know any players in FIFA 11 who have weaker foot less than 3 star? I searched whole teams for one, without any luck. Keepers, defenders, notorious one-footed players in real life... they all had between 3 and 5 stars for weak foot ability.|||

Love the idea of this but I wonder, if what we're talking about is an overhaul of player dribbling animations, is it even worth thinking it would happen on this gen? I'm no expert but switching the player dribbling engine from one based on "whichever foot" to one of true "preferred" foot sounds like a major change, one I could see EA holding off on until switching to the next gen.
I am in no way saying EA shouldn't do this but simply wondering if it's even in the realm of possibility. Is it a matter of switching the math of dribbling code to one that results in different preferences, or are we talking more about a complete overhaul of one of the fundamental systems of gameplay?|||That's the question. We don't know whether the back-end really is as basic as 'whichever foot', only that the outcome is 'whichever foot'. We don't know if the dribbling touches have Left Foot or Right Foot associated with them. We don't even know if there's full coverage for turning in any direction for one foot (which is mirrored for the other), necessarily - especially if you factor in different dribbling abilities. But there's ambiguity that could point either way. Ultimately it's only one player at a time who has to take these touches, so the amount of processing power to handle footedness shouldn't be a problem. It's just how easy it is to get the animation engine to understand which foot is which when dribbling.
To me the more I think about it, it's more a question of dev resources than hardware limitations to get the devs to see that it's worth putting in, you have to show them why. Which is not just about realism, but also about actually adding to the game. Improving the footedness through dribbling and through increased inaccuracy adds a lot to several direct areas (as mentioned) and opens up room to improve several indirect areas (pressuring, defending, tactics etc).
