A feature that I found lacking in fifa 11 UT is the feature of an API. For those who don't know what an API is: An API would give users to access fifa UT by their own computer programmes.
In this way people can:
- show off their players/teams on their socail network/website
- buy/sell players without being required to have flash (e.g. Iphone/Ipad)
- review their results, (semi)-locally
- play UT web the way they like, not required to use the painstakingly-slow current fifa UT (my reason why I stopped playing UT)
[li]affilate for paid booster packs, increasing revenue for EA - It would reduce the traffic on the UT application reducing the amount of servers needed, while keeping the same revenue
- It would be a major benefit to the whole of the fifa UT community
- With some easy to set security precautions an API can never do harm to the game. That shouldn't be hard for EA.
- An API would add to EA's goal of social gaming
To conclude, adding an API to the UT web version would benefit everyone. It would open numerous possibilities and will keep especially creative users stick to fifa UT. As a programmer myself, I know creating it costs only some small effort and the benefits are far greater than any, if any, disadvantages.
I hope seeing it in future UT's.
