Career Mode Problems - And There Are Many

First off I want to say FIFA 11 is my favorite game. Also the main reason I play FIFA has been manager mode and now "career" mode. I play on 360. This is my Second post. Sorry if any of this is tired or dead horse beating to you guys...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have enjoyed playing FIFA since I bought 09 2 years ago. The main problems with the 09 Manager mode were that players progressed to 09+ overall way too easy. And the scouting system was not realistic or entertaining at all. It was too easy to buy 80+ overall 17 year old players. And worse they had stupid names like "Rio Mreciewcszky" or "Jang-Li Wellington." In 5 years I had Macclesfield Town going from League 2 to Premier League Champions. Still it was fun.
I also prefer the money system in FIFA 09. You have essentially a bank account of cash and you choose how much money to spend each week on your team. The last two years of MM have had a split system of cash for transfers and a wage budget. I would like to see a return to the 09 system. It forces you to plan ahead when signing and buying players.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I bought FIFA 10 about 5 months after it came out and quickly enjoyed it's vast improvements. Players no longer progressed past 90 as easily as in FIFA 09. Players also no longer improved their ratings regardless of age (I.E. Edwin Van Der Saar improving at age 40.) EA even fixed the generated players names issue. I also enjoyed the option of changing the kit numbers of my players in Manager Mode. Still the scouting system was too easy and EA messed up the money system. By removing the simplified single account for wages and transfers they made the game easier for idiots.

Last year I bought FIFA 11 on the release date. I was greatly impressed at the plethora of improvements in game play. The complete overhaul of Career Mode however has left me greatly disappointed. Here's what's wrong with it. All of my comments have to do with playing CM as a Manager.
*Players never retire. I have been playing the game since it came out and no player has ever seemed to retire...ever.
*Why are players ALWAYS TOO loyal to their club? A 25 year old player from Hearts (Scotland) would surely accept a deal to play with Manchester United.
*Players regress to easily. Lets face it, some players won't play unless there is an injury.
*There are almost no new random youth players. And worse every single one of them has a tucked in shirt and green boots. It's also impossible to buy them from their team. You can only loan them in.
*There still isn't the ability to edit players kits or positions. Come on! You've signed a player and said "OH NO HE WEARS THOSE CLEATS?!?!?!?"
*The "Champions Cup," EA's generic Champions League doesn't count as a continental trophy under your career achievements.
*There is no stadium management or assistants or any other side work to do.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets admit a few things. This year EA came out with a beta for what will be an improved Career Mode that will hopefully come out next year. The released the game unfinished. I mean, players don't even retire. Here's what was right with this year's edition of Manager/Career Mode.
*The Calendar. I absolutely love the way EA implemented the calendar. It allows you to prepare in advance for League/Cup/Champions League games by making it easier to choose when to start and rest players in preparation for important games. I also like the logos for which type of games are coming up. I believe it is the single best improvement to this mode of gameplay.
*Selling Players. It should be hard to sell players. In previous years you could list a player and he would sell in a day. Now it takes time to off load a player you don't want. This forces you to make better decisions when buying players. Of course if they made boots choices for players editable, most of my mistakes would be nullified. This still needs to be partly fixed. If ManUTD were to list Wayne Rooney, he should be very easy to sell. I never received one offer for a 26 year old Wayne Rooney. Ridiculous.
*Player Progression for Players 80+. Players no longer improve by insane amounts every year. A guy shouldn't start off at 81 and get to 86 by the end of the year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a few features I'd like for FIFA 12, or since it's too late to add anything, FIFA 13.
*The game needs a reserve/youth squad feature. This squad would be made up of your reserves. All of their games would be simmed by defautl (but could be played) and players up to a certain age (say 24) could progress up to a certain overall rating (say 79).
*Go back to the FIFA 09 Money System. Okay I'm not a fan of the separated system of having a transfer budget and a wage budget. I say just have a single budget like in 09 and more involved system (than in 09) when it comes to generating money. You could earn money several ways; ticket sales, sponsorship (with regard to the kit logo/kit production/and statium), selling players, and merchandise sales.
*Make player boot choices editable. Please.
*Allow us to choose our friendlies opponents every season.
*Bring back the scouting system but actually fix it. The system would go like this. Each team could easily recruit players within their own countries to join their youth squads/programs. These players would never be above 65 overall except for truly "rare/exceptional" players that never get above 70. This system should also be weighted for the league the team is in. It should also be possible but harder to sign players from outside the country your team resides in. Also eliminate the need to instantly sign the player once you find them. They should be added to a list or pool of players that can be signed immediately or at a later time (assuming no other team signs them while you look for other players.
*Make players actually retire. Please.
*Severely scale back the amount of players that refuse to sign due to their loyalty for their club.
*Change the way board expectations are weighed and carried out. For instance. Your performance should be based on a mixed system of past and present performance. If you finish 2nd in the league with no trophies yet you've won the treble for 3 consecutive seasons before, you shouldn't be fired. Here's how I would different levels of board expectations...
1 - Win at least 1 piece of silverware
2 - Finish in the top 4 (which equals "Champions Cup" qualification)
3 - Finish Mid Table
4 - Avoid Relegation
*Bring back the assistants that were in FIFA 10 but you shouldn't have a flat one time fee to get them. They should have a weekly maintenance fee that comes out of your overall budget.
*Players should make transfer demands. And Teams should make you offers for those players. There should be just more personal issues that you have to deal with like in real life.
*Finish fixing the loan system. Loans should have the option for a transfer clause that can be exercised by the team taking on the player at the end of the loan. There should also be more top flight players available for loan based on teams having too many players.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure there's more and if I remember it I'll post it.
