Career Mode Repetitiveness

How to stop Career Mode getting repetitive:
1.Young players should GROW a LOT MORE rapidly, regardless of how many first team games they play, however the more games they play the quicker they'll grow, but too many games too early and you could risk long-term injury. Plus older players should deteriorate. It wouldn't happen but it would also be cool if you saw players bulk up and gain a bit of height aswell during their early twenties. I remember seeing Shawcross as a skinny little Stoke sub, then next season he turned into a giant of a center-back.
2.A YOUTH ACADEMY that is every year produces another crop of 16-17 year-olds that can go to the reserve team, or the first team if u think they are good enough.
3.PLAYERS’ RATINGS SHOULD CHANGE when they move to a club of different stars or league, when their team gets promoted/relegated, or if they get promoted to the first team
4.FORM has to be included; it is the motivation for managers playing players that may look rubbish on paper. Also, if a player is doing exceptionally well their ratings should increase and lots of bigger clubs should be rumoured to be linked with them. And perhaps in the next transfer window there would be a bidding war for that player
5. More clubs should bid for YOUR players, and you should be able to set an asking price for them.
6.You should have scouts who look at 16-17 year olds in other clubs academies, who wont appear in the Transfer Market, but you could still sign them on a ’scouted players’ page where all the players the scouts have recommended are listed
7. Every team needs to play different, as every team plays exactly the same way. There should be some system of the team wanting to get their best players on the ball, and using their players to their advantage. e.g. spurs should look to exploit couch’s areal ability, stoke should exploit rory delap’s throw, and arsenal should exploit walcotts pace and getting players in the box for the cross, ect. I want to feel the game is more about gaining a tactical advantage and not just pouncing on the other teams’ mistakes.
8.More media. More build-up to big games. Pre-match/post-match interviews, interviews about new signings ect. There should articles in papers giving their opinions if players are doing good or bad. Other players, managers, ex-players or pundits should give comments about you or teams who have reached a final of some competion. Also if you score in a cup-final, the commentators, crowd and players have the same reaction as a normal league game.
9.Transfers. Much more are needed. Other teams hardly change at all. Deadline-day should have loads of last-minute deals where teams are paying way over the odds to finalise a deal in time (for example: Andy Carroll). Also have every players contract shown, and if there is player whos contract is expiring soon you can agree a move at the end of their contract on a BOSMAN, instead of quality players becoming free-agents. Which i dont think has ever happened, unless because of injury.
10. The only injuries that ever happen are collision injuries. In real life the majority of injuries are muscle related and can suddenly happen without warning. In matches you should see players pull up holding their thigh or groin or whatever and being stretchered off. This leads me on to the fact that in fifa if someone is injured, they lie down, then either get back up by themselves, go and sit by the side of the pitch by themself, or go have to be substituted. In life a whole team of medical people will be rushing on the pitch trying to help him. There could atleast be a cut-scene of a stretcher.
Also there shouldn't just be one point where they go from being injured to being fit, you should have to ease them in gradually. 90 minutes straight away on the back of a serious injury might induce another injury, and you should be getting reports giving his fitness each week.
11.Fatigue is way too severe. For some reason it takes more than a week for my players to regain their energy. If players are rested in real-life it's not because they're tired, it's because too many matches in a short space of time will put too much strain on their muscles, therefore risking injury in the long and short term.
12.CUSTOMISATION
-before every match you should be able to edit a player’s appearance: snoods, underamour ect
-in Be A Pro you first should be able to SIGN A CONTRACT with cheap sponsorships like ‘Pantofola D’Oro’ and pick any of their boots. Then as you work your way up you could sign a contract with Umbro, who would then have more things like gloves and sweat bands. And once you are at the top you could sign with Nike and they would have a collection of things like snoods and under-amour. It would be good as well if these things CONTRIBUTED TO YOUR PERFORMANCE - the Nike Mercurials would boost your speed, whereas the CTR 360s would boost your touch. This would only apply for your VP though and none of the other players. Just something to make it a bit more fun.
-In MM you should sign contracts with Nike/Adidas or whoever your club is with at the time, and every couple of years you would be allowed to CREATE A NEW KIT. For example if you manage Newcastle you could only pick from the Adidas designs- a collection of template kit designs used at the moment or used in the past.
-Upgrading your STADIUM has been said already, but it would be awesome if you could actually see the improvents. Or alternatively you could build an entire new stadium, which would cost a fortune, and a few years to build (depending on how big), and in the end you could profit from more ticket sales.
-I saw someone before mention TRAINING, and i totally agree. i wouldnt go as far as actually doing the training in the arena (but having said this an arena for the MM menu would be very appreciated) but basically you could have a pie chart or something displaying the different categories (physical, technical, shooting, tactics, goalkeeping ect) and how much they are being trained, which can alter to your liking. E.g. im managing barcelona and i just want them to play possession football, so the best option would be to increase the proportion of technical training at the expense of physical.
-Additionally every year or so you could change a player's hair style. Think how many David James has had.|||Good post. I think many things you have listed are very possible but it is down to EA. I guess they just don't want to take career mode so seriously any more. To be honest it is all about getting you to spend on FUT now and I am also guessing that is the reason why certain features are becoming poorer as a result. MM is becoming more unrealistic with each passing season.|||Great ideas. Basically you've highlighted why CM is so poor - because the list of features that CM does NOT have is far longer than list of what it does have.
CM needs a massive upgrade. I'm just not sure EA cares enough to invest what is needed give us the deep and immersive mode we all want.|||I might have looked over it, but team chemistry would be an excellent readdition.|||One thing they could do and would involve minimal work is improve the correlation and presentation of statistics within the game. It's laughable at the moment and would add massively to the game.
There is still no overall goal tallies for your squad let alone the league and things like being able to see the past history of games against sides in the league or other tournaments would add to the immersive element that is so sadly lacking in the CM!..
There are so many ways and things EA could improve and add that would not break the bank, it's staggering how little there is in the CM when you actually look at it...
|||Fix the * player growth, its annoying how young players dont develop in a logical and constant way, its unpredictable and uncontrollable.
They could retake team chemistry, and add a youth squad in which you can develop players between 15-18 and buy players from other youth squads.|||

Tbh in real-life, sometimes player growth is unpredictable and uncontrollable, and sometimes it is the player that you would least expect to make it that will eventually become a consistent first-teamer. But i agree that it needs to be much more rapid for younger players
and yeah Team Chemistry should be included but only if it can actually make a difference in the matches
